Rapid access to onboard video for analytics

To support timely video analytics Spacemetric’s INNOVIDEO project will develop technology for review and access directly from the ground to specific portions of video data acquired onboard aircraft, UAVs, and satellites.

The new capabilities will let ground-based systems access overviews of video data stored onboard the imaging platform. It will be possible to identify and download specific video excerpts to make optimal use of downlinks with limited or intermittent bandwidth, while facilitating focused analytics efforts on the most relevant data.

The INNOVIDEO project is funded within the Swedish Innovair programme, the national strategic innovation programme for aeronautics. The results from the project will provide enhancements to future versions of Spacemetric’s Bluestone software for onboard management and processing of video sensor data.
